We may send product, service or maintenance information where you have requested it, consented to it, or where the law permits communication with an existing customer about similar products or services.

Marketing may be sent by email, telephone, SMS, WhatsApp or post depending on the choice made and the applicable rules.

You can opt out at any time by using an unsubscribe option where provided or contacting info@puresoftwater.ie. We may keep a minimal suppression record so that your preference continues to be respected.

International data transfers

Where a transfer requires protection under data-protection law, we rely on an adequacy decision, approved contractual clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism, together with additional safeguards where appropriate.

Contact us for further information about the safeguards relevant to a particular provider or transfer.

How long we keep personal data

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including legal, accounting, warranty, support and dispute requirements.

Record type Typical retention approach
Orders, invoices, payments and accounting records Normally at least six years, or longer where required by Revenue, an audit, investigation or legal claim.
Installation, servicing, warranty and technical customer records For the customer relationship and generally up to six years afterwards; selected equipment history may be retained longer where needed to support an installed system.
Quotations and enquiries that do not become an order Generally up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact, unless a longer period is justified.
Complaints, disputes and legal claims Until the matter is resolved and any relevant limitation or retention period has expired.
Marketing records Until consent is withdrawn or you object, plus a minimal suppression record where needed.
Cookie-consent records For the period reasonably needed to record and demonstrate the consent choice.
Website and security logs Generally up to 12 months, unless retained longer to investigate a security incident or legal issue.

Retention periods may be shortened or extended where the data is no longer needed, a legal requirement applies, or a dispute, warranty or investigation remains ongoing.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.

Measures may include encrypted website connections, restricted account access, secure payment providers, software updates, backups, access controls and staff or contractor confidentiality requirements.

No internet or storage system is completely risk-free. If a personal-data breach occurs, we will assess and report it where required by law.

Automated decision-making

We do not make decisions about customers based solely on automated processing where those decisions produce legal or similarly significant effects.

Payment, fraud-prevention and advertising providers may use automated systems as part of their own services. Their privacy information explains how those systems operate and the rights available in relation to their processing.

Children’s data

Our website and services are not directed at children, and orders must be placed by an adult. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal data for marketing or advertising purposes.
